You : "Can I cut the grass for $40? Current market rate is $50 per house!".

Since you get the lawn mower for free, why not beat the market in terms of pricing! Give a better service in which it is pretty easy to do compared raising money to start your own business.

Client : "Of course I would love to."

The client will get a good offer with discounted price of what you just offer. They will be happy to accept your offer.

REPEAT THE SAME PROCESS OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Repeat this process for 6 days (mowing client's houses) and 1 day to satisfy the investor. What you have to lose? You trade your time. But you just started a business with no money!

Can you guess which one works better? According to us, it will always be the second one that will drive traffic better.

I am a big fan of content marketing. But I am not into guest posting, blog commenting or even backlinking tactics even when you do in white hat way.

3. REDDIT

Do you find something missing?

Pinterest is good for instant traffic, youtube is great for consistent but has slower growth rate early on. While on reddit, you need to be very helpful when commenting so that it can be pinned high and get decent traffic from Google.

1 hour content writing, 5 hours back linking, promoting, blog commenting and guest post writing.

When you do this, you will get 30 articles per month which is actually not that bad for bloggers. But what you will get is instant web traffics that will died off once you stop promoting them.

You will be in a treadmill. You need to keep promoting your posts. When you stop, the traffic spikes will end.

Surely you can get instant traffic and sometimes much more traffic, but you will not make your business passive.

Consider the second. 

5 hours content writing. Zero back linking.

In this scenario, you will have 150 quality, unique articles per month! That's just yummy.

If you let it sit there for 6 months, I can guarantee you that Google will surely crawl your page and bring quality, targeted, organic traffic.

And guess what, it is passive and will still bringing in traffic even when you stop promoting the content.

You will not be in a treadmill!

While waiting for those 6 months period, you can work on other project and leave the blog as it is.

Let the content ripe and just let Google do it's job to position your blog posts well in the search rankings.

It will take some time to rank in Google. If you look at Google analytics, the amount of visitors will fluctuate over time until it becomes plateau.

During fluctuations period, it is expected that your site is being experimented by Google.

If you have good bounce rate, visitors stay for a long period of time on your articles, and you have amazing click through rate, than Google will bring your site higher in the rankings.

You need to be patient while building on your next project or blog.

Even 20-30 articles per website will do just great in the long run.

Expect to gain some visitors from Google in 6 months time. Work on your first month. An hour each day for content of about 1000 to 3000 words articles.

Those articles should answer questions that is not in good quality in the first page of Google.

Be in mind before writing the posts answering the questions that you can outrank them. If not, don't waste time by writing it.

That is why it is important to write blog posts on something that is extremely less competitive when you just starting out.

While learning on the topic, you will become an authority website as you keep writing on that particular niche.

In terms of SEO, what I will do is just let this blog sit online for years. That is why I chose blogger. Some say blogger has no authority in the eyes of Google. They said that blogger can make you hardly seen in the search engine.

As long as your search terms fits well with the blog posts in context terms, your blog will pop out above everyone else.

Don't take it too seriously on the search volume. The estimates are usually way way lower than the actual numbers.

Frankly speaking, usually it will always be like 20 times the search volumes available in Keyword tools. That kind of estimate have been experienced multiple times by professional and well-known bloggers.
